Lock down crime fall
Police forces across England and Wales are reporting that violent crime has fallen by up to 40% as the coronavirus quarantine reduces the number of people out on the streets.
There are concerns, however, that domestic abuse may be increasing during this uncertain time. Refuge, which runs the national domestic abuse helpline, is reporting a 25% rise in calls and contacts.
Our lawyers remain available to assist people who need legal advice, either over the telephone, video-call via Skype, Zoom, Teams or Facetime, so please do not think that help is not available.
