Jill is a Senior Solicitor Consultant in the Mental Health Department. She is a member of the Law Society’s Mental Health Accreditation Scheme and also holds Higher Rights of Audience (Criminal)

Jill qualified as a Solicitor in 1983, starting her career as a Criminal Solicitor in a Legal 500 firm. Jill developed a reputation as a Youth Court and serious crime advocate and was ranked number 1 for crime in the Midlands in Chambers Legal Directory.

She now specialises in representing detained patients in hospitals across the region and beyond. Jill has a particular expertise in representing young people and those who have been given a hospital order by the Court. She still represents patients in the Criminal Courts and the Police Station. She has an excellent reputation for the standard of her advocacy.

In her spare time Jill reluctantly runs, loves to spend time with her family, allows her Labrador to take her for walks and enjoys live music.
