Louise Newcombe

Senior Solicitor

children law accreditation

Louise is a Solicitor in our children team specialising in complex cases.  Louise is often appointed to represent children in court proceedings to ensure that their best interests are given the prominence the law demands.

Her day to day practice is care, placement and adoption proceedings and child arrangements order applications where the child has been joined as a party. Her experience includes step-parent adoption applications, cases with an international element, surrogacy, and transgender issues.

She appears in cases being heard at all levels including by a Judge sitting at High Court level. Having obtained her law degree at the University of Bristol, Louise returned home to the midlands to qualify as a Solicitor. She has practised locally since qualifying and has 13 years’ post qualification experience in family law. She is a member of the Law Society Children Panel recognising her expertise in this area and has been on the panel for more than 8 years.

In her spare time, Louise enjoys time with her family, cycling and other sports.
