I graduated from De Montfort University in 2021 with a First-Class Honours degree in Law and subsequently completed the Bar Training Course at Nottingham Law School (Nottingham Trent University). I joined Mander Cruickshank Solicitors in 2022 as a Paralegal within the Criminal Department, where I assist in the management of a wide range of criminal matters.
Since joining the firm, I have gained extensive experience working on both summary and indictable offences, supporting the department in the day-to-day handling of criminal cases. My responsibilities include preparing case files, drafting legal documents, liaising with clients and counsel, attending conferences, and assisting in trial preparation. I regularly attend court to support the solicitors and clients, ensuring the smooth progression of cases at all stages of proceedings.
I am also a qualified Police Station Representative and frequently attend police stations to advise and represent clients during interviews under caution. I recognise that this stage of the criminal process is often highly stressful and critical to the outcome of a case, and I work to ensure that clients are supported, informed, and represented with professionalism and care.
I am currently undertaking the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) training contract, with the aim of qualifying as a solicitor. I am passionate about criminal defence work and committed to upholding the rights of individuals at every stage of the criminal justice process. My approach is client-focused, thorough, and practical, and I take pride in offering clear advice and strong representation in both police stations and courtrooms.
